SATAN HAS NO POWER

My day began when a family member called asking for prayer concerning a difficult situation in their life.

            I began my prayer to our Heavenly Father asking for HIS guidance and HIS will to be done in this matter.  As I was praying the LORD brought to my mind this great TRUTH –

            Satan does not want GOD to be glorified (in you).  He wants the glory for himself.

                        ISAIAH – Chapter 42, verse 8:

                        “I AM the LORD, that is my name; and MY

GLORY will I NOT give to another, ….”

            This (battle) of trials is not about your self life, but about the (CHRIST) life that lives in each child of GOD.

            Satan is wanting to defeat GOD, to try and steal GOD’s glory.

            Remember CHRIST paid the supreme price for all of us.  To return to the Father, through CHRIST JESUS, to be reborn to that spiritual realm in our Heavenly Father.

            Satan is trying everything to stop this in each of us, that he can stand in GOD’s presence to claim victory over you (the CHRIST that liveth in you).

            Satan was cast down from heaven because he wanted to be as GOD and wanted to be glorified.

            GOD created Satan for his purposes and for his will.

                        GENESIS – Chapter 1, verse 1:

                        “In the beginning, GOD CREATED the

                        heaven and the earth.”

            GOD spoke into existence  ALL  THINGS.

COLOSSIANS – Chapter 1, verse 16-17:

                        “For by him were  ALL THINGS CREATED,

                        that are in heaven, and that are in earth,

                        visible and invisible, whether they be

                        thrones, or dominions, or principalities,

                        or powers - ALL THINGS were CREATED

                        by him, and for him; and HE IS before ALL

                        THINGS, and by HIM ALL THINGS

CONSIST.”

ISAIAH – Chapter 43, verse 10:

“…. that ye may know and believe me,

and understand that I AM HE; before

me there was NO GOD formed, neither

shall there be after me.”

ISAIAH – Chapter 43, verse 11:

“I, even I, AM the LORD, and beside me

there is NO SAVIOR.”

ROMANS – Chapter 13, verse 1:

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher

powers.  For there is NO power but GOD;

the powers that be are ORDAINED OF

GOD.”

Thanks be to our Heavenly Father, Satan was defeated.

Now Satan is trying to blind you to the truth, of what Christ did for each of us.  Satan wants to take away GOD’s glory in each child of GOD.

Christ died on the cross and resurrected from the grave to

have TOTAL VICTORY over Satan.  Therefore, Satan has

NO GROUND.

            You can stand on this glorious truth:

Satan  HAS  NO  GROUND  IN  YOU.

            Christ is our Savior, our Redeemer, our Victor over death, hell and the grave.

            Stand UP IN CHRIST and declare to Satan and to all.

            That (IN CHRIST) and (ONLY IN CHRIST) can you say, Satan you have NO GROUND.

            Each trial that (GOD ALLOWS) Satan to bring to you, is a trial by GOD, and VICTORY will bring a deeper and closer walk (IN CHRIST) and to show that GOD IS GOD and no other.

                        ISAIAH – Chapter 44, verse 6:

                        “…. I AM the first, and I AM the last, 

and beside me there is NO GOD.”

            That leaves Satan out for he is NOT a god, never has been nor will be.

            In reading these scriptures we can see that Satan did NOT create himself and he never created anything and has NO power except what GOD gives him.

            Now let us read the scriptures concerning the trials and tests that were brought upon JOB.

                        JOB – Chapter 1, verse 6:

                        “Now there was a day when the SONS

                        OF GOD came to present themselves

                        before the LORD, and Satan came also

                        among them.”

            Then GOD asked Satan concerning Job.

                        JOB – Chapter 1, verse 8:

                        “And the LORD said unto Satan, “Hast

                        thou considered my servant, Job, that

                        there IS none like him IN the earth,

                        a perfect and an upright man, one

                        who feareth GOD, and escheweth evil.”

            Then Satan replied:

                        JOB – Chapter 1, verse 10:

                        “Hast not thou MADE a hedge about him,

                        and about his house (GOD’S protection)….”

            Then Satan, knowing he was not allowed at this time to touch Job with any trials, asked GOD to remove HIS HEDGE of protection.

                        JOB – Chapter 1, verse 11:

                        “But put forth thine hand now, and touch

                        all that he hath, and he will curse thee to

                        thy face.”
   

              
Now GOD gave Satan the power to try and destroy Job of all that he had, except one beautiful and precious thing (HIS LIFE).

            For GOD IS LIFE and Satan is DEATH and only in GOD dwelleth life.  Now notice the next verse:

                        JOB – Chapter 1, verse 12:

                        “And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold

                        all that he hath is in thy power; only upon

                        Himself put not forth thine hand.”

                        JOB – Chapter 2, verse 6:

                        “And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he

                        Is in thine hand; but SAVE HIS LIFE.”

            GOD gave Satan the power to bring trials unto Job.  Satan had  no power over Job.  Why?

            GOD had his protective HEDGE (HIMSELF) covering Job.  Until GOD removed his hedge, Satan had no power to afflict Job with trials.  Satan had NO GROUND.  He had to ask GOD to remove his (hedge), before Satan could do the things GOD granted him to do, to bring suffering unto Job.

            As we read concerning Job’s trials, we will also be tried.

            When a trial is given from GOD and allowed by Satan to cause these trials and sufferings, we can trust in GOD who knows how much we can bear and that through these trials that CHRIST is (OUR HEDGE) our protection.

            We all have to go through our own furnace of affliction before we can ever be glorified in CHRIST, by CHRIST and through CHRIST.

                        ROMANS – Chapter 8, verse 17:

                        “And if children, then heirs - heirs of

                        GOD, and joint heirs with CHRIST -  if

                        so be that we suffer with him that we

                        may be also glorified together.”

            As we face each of our trials on this earth (our bodies, mind and soul), we can say the same words spoken by Job –

                        JOB – Chapter 1, verse 21:

                        “…. the LORD gave, and the LORD hath

                        taken away; blessed be the name of the

                        LORD.”
    

            Something to think about is that Satan is clueless to what the outcome of Job’s trials would be.

            GOD foreknew that Job would give GOD the glory for all things and would trust in GOD for his deliverance.

            Satan, on the other hand, did not know that Job would succeed in and by GOD.

            GOD did not reveal to Satan his plan.  For if Satan had known from the beginning as GOD knew, that Job would have victory, Satan would have given up and moved on to another soul.  Satan was defeated before he even started.  GOD received the glory –

            So when GOD removes his protective hedge from you and allows these trials, Stand firm and declare, Blessed be the name of the LORD our risen Savior, our Redeemer.  For Satan has NO POWER, NO GROUND IN YOU.  Praise be to CHRIST JESUS for he will receive the glory.

 
THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL

            Then continuing through my day praying to GOD for our family – the LORD brought this revelation as well –

            Consider what GOD said to Adam and Eve in the garden.

                        GENESIS – Chapter 2, verse 17.

                        “But of the tree of the knowledge of good

                        and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for

                        in the day that thou eatest thereof

                        thou shalt surely DIE.”

            God put Satan’s spirit in the garden as the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, for that is who Satan is.  He is that spirit of knowledge of good and evil which is DEATH.  The fruit of that tree is man’s carnal spirit that by the fall of Adam all men were born under the curse of the genealogy of that tree.

            Satan appeared unto Adam and Eve so subtle (means cunning).

                        GENESIS – Chapter 3, verse 1:

                        “Now the serpent was more subtle than any

                        beast of the field which the LORD GOD

                        had made….”

            Notice GOD MADE the evil serpent.

            GOD MADE (created) evil and placed it in the garden as the tree of knowledge of good and evil in Satan.

                        ISAIAH – Chapter 45, verse 7:

                        “I form the light, and create darkness;

                        I make peace, and create evil; I, the

                        LORD, do ALL THESE THINGS.”

            Now Satan appeared to Adam and Eve and beguiled them to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and, upon eating of this tree,  they DIED SPIRITUALLY.  This death began the separation from GOD.

            Then GOD in his wisdom removed Adam and Eve from the garden so they could not eat of the Tree of Life.

               
 GOD foreknew that he would send his only begotten Son to die on the cross, to pave our way back to that SPIRITUAL GARDEN, to be able to eat of the TREE OF LIFE, which is CHRIST JESUS (HIMSELF).

            GOD is the Tree of Life and only in GOD is there LIFE and in no other spirit will you find true Life.  Only in GOD and GOD IN YOU is where Life is and will always be.

            We have all been born in this (DEATH – SIN) and through CHRIST and only through CHRIST those who truly want (CHRIST THE TREE OF LIFE) to reign in our hearts, mind and soul, will be able to eat of the Tree of Life.

            All through the scriptures there are references to the fruit of which tree you eat of. 

                        MATTHEW – Chapter 12, verse 33:

                        “Either make the tree good, and its fruit

                        good, or else make the tree corrupt, and 

                        its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known

                        by its fruit.”

Also in:

                        MATTHEW – Chapter 7, verse 17:

                        “Even so, every good tree bringeth forth

                        good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth

                        forth evil fruit.”

            You may ask yourself what are the fruits of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.

            It is man’s carnal mind.  All man’s thoughts are to do his will to please himself; his flesh, self pleasure, self goals, self emotions.

            No matter how seemingly good it appears or how evil, it is enmity towards GOD.

            Each thought you have, be careful, examine to discern from which tree you are LIVING IN.

            The Tree of Knowledge of good and evil which is DEATH – SATAN’S fruit, or the Tree of Life which is CHRIST – His fruit.

            If it is negative, hurtful, boasting, prideful, conceit, envy, jealousy, etc., these are Satan’s thoughts working in you.

            But if thoughts come to you for love, compassion, thankfulness, giving to others, generosity, helping others, etc., these are GOD’S thoughts working in you.

            So as Job was tried and all the saints, disciples, prophets were tried, we will be tried as well.

            If you want to receive the fullness of CHRIST, you will have to be tried and DIE on your own personal CROSS, that Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.

            This carnal flesh man (which is the tree of Knowledge of good and evil), Satan’s spirit is this DEATH TREE.  You will have to DIE TO SELF so that CHRIST, our spiritual Life Tree, will consume you and make you what GOD wants you to be, A LIFE HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD.

                        COLOSSIANS – Chapter 3, verse 3:

                        “For ye are dead, and your life is hidden

                        with Christ in God.”

            With each trial that GOD allows Satan to bring against you (IN CHRIST), you will be able to say to Satan – NO GROUND.

            God will receive the glory for all things and CHRIST that liveth in you will be glorified.

                        ISAIAH – Chapter 61, verse 3:

                        “…. that they might be called trees of

                        righteousness, the planting of the

                        LORD, that he might be glorified.”

            You are always wanting GOD’S WILL to be in your life, GOD’s love and mercy and many more wonderful fruits.

Begin to eat of the Tree of Life (CHRIST) each day, hour, minute and you will see that the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil (DEATH) will start to dry up and this tree will bear no more fruit.

            For CHRIST is that Tree of Life, everlasting in his fullness and will reign in your heart, mind and soul forever – AMEN.
